Revisiting a Pearl’s Pick—Hal & Mal’s

Monday was a day of hanging out and catching up with Jeremiah and family.  Our grandaughter, Breanna’s gotten so big and is so bright.  It’s hard living so far away and not getting to see her (and her parents) more often.

On Tuesday, we began going out and about to see some places Jeremiah thought we might enjoy.  We started off the day by checking out High Street Antique Mall in Jackson – fun, but not as full of good merchandise as we remember from a trip several years ago.  So, picked up a long-time friend of Randy’s named Billy out in Canton and headed back to Jackson for lunch at Hal & Mal’s.  This is one of Jackson’s   more well-known watering holes which just happens to have some of the best red beans and rice in the south.    We’ve eaten here before, but it’s been a while and we wanted to be sure it still qualified as a Pick.  Oh, Yeah!  It does.  Good service and good eats!
